More Than Memories
Oak Bluffs has long held a special place in Black American history, shaped by generations of families, writers, artists, and community leaders who made Martha’s Vineyard part of their summer tradition.
Walk the colorful cottages, spend time at the Inkwell, explore the island at your own pace, and settle into the harbor views that have kept people returning for generations.
Come for Martha’s Vineyard. Leave understanding why so many return.

Your Oak Bluffs Home
There is something special about staying right where the story is happening.
Summercamp has welcomed travelers from its Lake Avenue location since 1879. Today, the restored oceanfront hotel sits across from Oak Bluffs Harbor, with downtown, beaches, restaurants, and the character of Oak Bluffs within easy reach. Its harbor-facing porches and rocking chairs create exactly the kind of place where mornings can begin slowly and evenings can linger a little longer.
You are close enough to walk into town, wander toward the beach, or simply stay right where you are and watch the harbor move around you.
